There are two main ways you can help support the Christmas Store:

Our toy drive is where over 80% of the gifts we need for the store come from.  Whether you represent a church, a business, an organization, a family, or an individual – we need your help to stock the store!

What is the Christmas Store?

Christmas Store is one of the longest-running program at The Other Way, helping out West Side families with the cost of gifts during the holiday season, while building community, maintaining dignity, and ultimately – sharing the joy of Christmas, together.

How does Christmas Store work?

Qualifying neighbors and program participants with children register for the store to receive up to a $100 shopping credit per child in the household (gifts that are donated by people like YOU!).

But it’s so much more than just a transactional program…

A Christmas Gift Program for Neighbors, Run by Neighbors

Each participating household helps run the store by contributing their time and talents – and it couldn’t happen without them!  Shoppers sign up for a time to shop along with a time to serve, according to their schedules and skills – whether that is decorating, “pricing”, gift-wrapping, greeting, and so much more.  This component isn’t only necessary to run the store – it’s vital to the dignity and community-building aspects of the program that we all value.

Community Gathering 

As a way of bringing families together – when we see so many seeking community and combating isolation – we are planning our 2nd annual “Cookies and Milk” event, where families bring their children for food, fun, and a free professional photo with Santa!

Shopping with Dignity

When the time comes for “shop week”, our neighbors experience a full-service shopping experience – selecting gifts that they know their children will like, in a space that that is welcoming, warm, filled with fellow neighbors and friends, that they helped make happen.  Gift wrapping included!

Collect, purchase, and donate new toys to the Christmas Store! Get your business, organization, church, or family involved!

  2. Drop off all gifts on the Drop Off Date: 9:00am – 12:00pm Friday, Dec 5th @ The Other Way Activity Center (704 W Fulton)
  3. Enjoy your Christmas Season!
  1. Our goal is to provide quality merchandise at affordable prices, we request items cost more than $20.00.
  2. Please leave price tags on items.
  3. Please see our TOY DRIVE FLYER (click to view) for more info
  4. Please include batteries when appropriate.
  5. Please do not wrap gifts.
  1. December 5th, 9:00am-12:00pm @ The Other Way Activity Center (704 W Fulton)
  2. Please Count your gifts so you can give us the total when you arrive!
  3. If you need to bring your gifts before Friday, Dec 5th please email or call (454-4011 ext. 5220) to make arrangements. If at all possible, we appreciate deliveries on December 5th.
